Course Description: In this informal weekend course, the instructor guides students through assignments, as well as the thought process he uses to obtain unexpected photographic results for a variety of clients. Starting with actual assignment requests that the instructor has received, students take on projects as if they were their own, learning how to overcome hurdles and obstacles that arise. We also focus on the best ways to approach assignments with a desire to make unique images. Through class critique, students are encouraged to look at innovative and original ways to leave their comfort zone and take visual chances with their work. Students will leave better prepared to face a wide range of assignments and with a stronger grasp of how to balance logistical concerns with artistic vision.
